Ringworm - Dada

Symptoms Pama is a disease characterized by appearance of numerous pimples with discharge, itching and burning sensation particularly between fingers, on the ulnar border of the hand, thighs, buttocks etc. if there is severe burning sensation in the vesicles, particularly of hands and buttocks then this condition is known as Kacchu.


Treatment
Compound Preparations

1. Maha Majishadi Kvatha: 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

2. Gandhaka Rasayana: 120 to 250 mg. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey or Ghrta (ghee) three times a day.

Local Applications

1. Lepa (plaster) prepared from the decoction of root of Karavira (oleander) Siddha in Sarsapa Taila (mustard oil) is to be applied on the affected part.

2. Prepare Taila (medicated oil) from the decoction of leaves of Karavira (oleander) and Sarsapa Taila (mustard oil) and apply on the affected part.

3. Lepa of equal part of powder of Sindura and fruit of Marica (black pepper) prepared in Mahisa Takra (buffalo butter milk) is to be applied on the affected part.

4. Lepa prepared from Svarasa of leaves of Arka 8 to 14 ml. and Kalka of rhizome of Haridra (turmeric) 12 to 24 g. in Sarsapa Taila (mustard oil) 14 to 28 ml. is to be applied on the affected part.

5. Lepa (plaster) of the powder of equal part of seeds of Mulaka (radish) and Sarsapa (mustard), Laksa (lac), rhizome of Haridra (turmeric), bark of Sigru (horse radish), seed of Cakramarda (foetid cassia), Suska Sarala Niryasa (dry resin of pine tree), Suhi (dry ginger) and fruits of Marica (black pepper), Pippali and Vidanga, prepared in Gomutra (cows urine) is to be applied on the affected part.

6. Lepa (plaster) of bark of Khadira (khair) and MrdaraSrnga prepared in butter to be applied on the affected part.

7. Apply Gandhaka Malhara after washing the diseased part with the decoction of Triphala (fruit rind of three myrobalans).

8. Gandhaka Drava to be applied on the affected part.

9. Tuvaraka Taila (hydnocarpus oil) to be applied on the affected part.
