Treatment
A. At the time of Attack

1. Give Nasya of powdered bark of Kaphala (box myrtle).

2. Rasa-Sindura-60 to 250 mg. or Kasturi 7.5 to 15 mg. to be given sublingually.

B. Between the Attacks

1. Decoction of whole plant of Yavasa (camels thorn) 14 to 28 ml. to be taken with Ghrta (ghee) 10 g. twice a day.

2. Triphala Cura 1 to 3 g. to be taken with equal quantity of Gua (jaggery) andArdraka (fresh ginger) thrice a day.

3. Kalka (paste) of root and stem of Kamala (lotus), fruit of Pippali, fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) prepared in water to be taken in 12 to 24 g. dose with honey thrice a day.

4. Ksirapaka prepared from the powder of equal part of roots of Satavari (wild asparagus) and Bala (country mallow), and Draksa (raisin or grape fruit) 100 to 200 ml. to be taken with Sarkara (raw sugar) thrice a day.

5. Powder of equal part of Badara Majja (jujube seed decorticated), Marica (black pepper), root of USira (khas), NagakeSara (indian iron wood tree stemen) 3 to 6 g. to be taken with cold water thrice a day.

6. Panaka of leaf of Brahmi (indian pennywort), wood of Candana (sandal), root of USira (khas), Karpura (camphor), and KeSara (saffron) to be taken twice a day.

7. Candravaleha 10 g. to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk thrice a day.

Pathya

Rakta Sali (red variety of rice), Taula (rice), Mudga (phaseolus bean), Satina (pea), Yava (barley); Dugdha (milk); fruit of Daima (pomegranate); soup of meat of wild animals and birds are the useful articles of diet for the patient of Murccha.

Apathya

Kau Dravya, leaf of Sarsapa (mustard), Tambula Patra (betel leaf), Takra (butter milk), are harmful for the patient of Murccha. Scanty intake of water, walking in the sun, sexual intercourse and suppression of calls of nature and urge to sleep should be avoided.
