Hill diarrhea - Parvatiya Atisara

Symptoms
Hoarseness of voice, burning sensation in the throat, less and slow talking are the main symptoms of Svara-Bheda.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. The root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza) to be sucked from time to time.

2. Powder of Suhi (dried ginger) 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey twice a day.

3. Powdered old fruit of Cica (tamarind) 1 g. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey, twice a day.

4. Take 14 to 28 g. honey followed by a draught of 50 ml. warm water.

Simple Preparations

1. Ghana-satva prepared from the root of Yasimadhu 250 to 500 mg. is to be sucked, thrice a day.

2. The powdered root of Yasimadhu (giycyrrhiza) 3 g. boiled in 250 ml. milk is to be taken twice a day.

3. Powder of Marica (black pepper) fried in ghee 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar), twice a day.

4. Prepare of Kalka (paste) of equal parts of bark of Badara (jujube) and Saindhava (rock salt). its 3 g. is to be fried in ghee and taken with 4 to 6 g. honey, twice a day.

5. Boil Tanula (rice) 1 part with 1 part of Gua (jaggery) in 4 parts of water, when cooked take with ghee 1 part, twice a day.

The quantity of rice may be taken according to the appetite of the patient.

Compound Preparations

1. Sitopaladi cura: 3 to 6 g. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey or 5 to 10 g. ghee twice a day

2. Khadiradi Vai: 1 Vai is to be sucked 4 to 6 times a day.

External Applications

Kaha Sula Hara Lepa: to be applied externally on the front portion of neck.
