Symptoms
Moderately high fever with pain in joints and headache cold, cough, feeling of heaviness and moist wraping in the body, and excessive sleep are the signs and symptoms of Vata-Slesmika Jvara.


Treatment
Simple Preparations

1. Decoction of fruit of Pippali (long pepper) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

2. Decoction of DaSamula 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken with 1 g. powdered fruit of Pippali (long pepper) three times a day.

3. Decoction of Laghu Paca mula 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

4. Decoction of Pacakola 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

5. Decoction of equal part of root of Mustaka (motha), Suhi (dried ginger) and whole plant of Kiratatikta (chiratia) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

6. Decoction of equal part of bark of Nimba, stem of Guuci, Suhi (dried ginger), wood of Devadaru (deodar), rhizome of Kauki and root of Vaca (sweet-flag) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

7. Decoction of equal part of whole plant of Kaakari, bark of Nimba, stem of Guuci, Suhi (dried ginger) and root of Puskara (costus) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

8. Decoction of equal part of fruit pulp ofAragvadha (cassia), roots of Pippali and Mustaka (motha), rhizome of Kauki and fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

9. Decoction of equal part of root of Mustaka (motha), whole plants of Parpaa (five leaved fumitory) and Kaakari, Suhi (dried ginger), stem of Guuci Fruit and root of Pippali (long pepper), bulb of Rasona (garlic) and seed of Nirgui 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

10. Decoction of equal part of root of Mustaka (motha), whole plants of Duralabha (camels thorns) and Parpaa (five leaved fumitory) and Suhi (dried ginger) 14 to 28 ml is to be taken three times a day.

11. Suddha Narasara (ammonium chloride) 250 to 500 mg. is to be taken with honey to make a paste three times a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Gojihvadi Kvatha: 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken three times a day.

2. Saubhagya Vai: 120 to 250 mg. to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste three times a day.

3. Laksmi-Vilasa Rasa: 60 to 120 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey make a paste three times a day.

4. Tribhuvana Kirti Rasa: 60 to 120 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make paste three times a day.

5. Srngarabhra Rasa: 120 to 250 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste three times a day.

6. Svasa-kasa-Cintamai Rasa: 60 to 250 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste three times a day.

7. Srnga Bhasma: 250 to 500 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste three times a day.
