Symptoms
in this condition, the patient passes sometimes loose and sometimes formed motions. Other symptoms are flatulence, loss of weight and energy, indigestion, depression, chaffing of skin, dryness of throat and mouth, thirst, ringing in the ear, and aversion to sexual intercourse.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Powdered root of Ankoha (alangi) 6 g. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Taulodaka (rice washing) thrice a day.

2. Powder of Suhi (dried ginger) 2 g. is to be taken thrice a day with warm water

3. Powdered root of Citraka 1 to 2 g. is to be taken three times a day with warm water.

Simple Preparations

1. Powder of equal part of rhizome of Kauki, Suhi (dried ginger), Rasajana, flower of Dhataki, indrayava (kurchi seed), root of Mustaka (motha), bark of Kuaja (kurchi), rhizome of Haridra (turmeric) and root of Ativisa (indian atees) 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with Takra (butter milk) thrice a day.

2. Powder of equal part of Hingu (asafoetida), root of Ativisa (indian atees), rhizome of Vaca (sweet flag). Sauvarcala Lavaa, fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with warm water or 50 ml. Takra (butter milk) thrice a day.

3. Make powder of Marica (black pepper) 1 part, Suhi (dried ginger) 2 parts, bark of Kuaja (kurchi) 4 parts and take it in 1 to 3 g. dose with equal part of Gua (jaggery) and 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) thrice a day.

4. Make powder from one part each of Suhi (dried ginger), seeds of Dhanyaka (coriander) and Methika (fenugreek), Bhrsa epicarp of Dadima (pomegranate), Sankha Bhasma, Krsa Lavaa and fruits of MiSreya (fennel), half part of Suddha Hingu (asafoetida) and 2 parts of leaves of Bhanga (indian hemp). its 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) twice a day.

5. Powder of equal part of indrayava (kurchi seed), root of Ativisa (indian atees), Suddha Hingu (asafoetida), Sauvarcala Lavaa, fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) is to be taken in 1 to 3 g. dose with warm water thrice a day.

6. Pacakola Siddha Jala 50 to 100 ml. is to b taken thrice a day.

7. Decoction of equal part of Suhi (dried ginger), root of Mustaka (motha) and Ativisa (indian atees) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken thrice a day.

8. Decoction of equal part of Suhi (dried ginger), roots of Mustaka (motha) and Ativisa (indian atees) and stem of Guuci 0 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken thrice a day.

9. Yavagu (gruel) prepared from rice along with juice of leaf of Cangeri (wood sorrel) 7 to 14 ml. is to be taken thrice a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Brhat Gangadhara Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with warm water thrice a day.

2. Daimasaka Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with water thrice a day.

3. Hingvasaka Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) thrice a day).

4. Jatiphaladi Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with water thrice a day.

5. Kapithasaka Cura: 600 mg. to 1.25 g. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) thrice a day.

6. Lavaa Bhaskara Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) twice a day.

7. Nrpati-Ballabha Rasa: 1 to 2 Vai, to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk), thrice a day.

8. Piyusavalli Rasa: 1 to 2 Vai, to be taken with water or 50 to 100 ml. Takra (butter milk) thrice a day.

9. Maha-Gandhaka Yoga: 360 to 750 mg. is to be taken with honey sufficient to make a paste thrice a day.

10. Kamesvara Modaka: 6 to 13 g. is to be taken with 100 to 120 ml. milk thrice a day.

11. Bilvadi Lehyama: 3 to 6 g. to be taken half an hour before meal with 3 to 6 g. butter thrice a day.

12. Pacamrta Parpai: 120 to 360 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste thrice a day.

13. Rasa-Parpai: 120 to 360 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste thrice a day.

14. Svara Parpai: 60 to 360 mg. is to be taken with sufficient honey to make a paste thrice a day.
