Symptoms
Pain in the throat and difficulty in deglutition are the main symptoms of Galayu (tonsillitis).
Treatment
in case of continued high fever and acute sepsis refer to a specialist.
1. Make a concentrated solution of Yavaksara or common salt in warm water and gargle with it many times a day.
2. Make a solution with 600 mg. of Sphaika (alum) in 100 ml. warm water and gargle with it many times a day.
3. Hot Lepa (poultice) of horse-chestnut to be applied on the front portion of the neck.
Treatment prescribed for Svara-Bheda may also be used beneficially for the patient of Galayu.
