Tympanites - Peaphulana, Aphara

Symptoms
1. Udakameha: in Udakameha patient passes large quantity of cold, colourless, odourless and slightly turbid and slimy urine.

2. Sukrameha: in Sukrameha patient passes semen during urination, or semen mixed urine or discharges with slight sexual excitement even due to emotion.

3. iksumeha: iksumeha is a disease in which the patient passes urine containing sugar and which resembles with the juice of sugar cane.

4. Hastimeha: Patient of Hastimeha passes voluminous urine of slimy consistency continuously for a long time without any obstruction.

5. Madhumeha (Diabetes mellitus): All the Prameha of long duration or which are neglected leads to the condition known as Madhumeha (diabetes mellitus). it may also occur independently. in this disease patient passes sweet urine like honey and his sugar level of blood rises considerably above the normal limits.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Svarasa (juice) of leaf of Bilva (bael) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

2. Svarasa (juice) of stem of Guuci- 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey thrice a day.

3. Powder of MadhunaSani 3 to 6 g., to be taken wih 5 to 10 g. honey thrice a day.

4. Powdered flowers of PalaSa (bastard flower) 12 g., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) thrice a day.

5. Powder of Satavari 25 g. to be taken with 250 ml. Godugdha (cows milk) thrice a day.

6. Dharosa Godugdha 500 ml. to be taken with equal quantity of water twice a day. it is useful for Sukrameha.

7. Powdered seed of Jambu is to be taken in 1 to 2 g. dose three times a day.

Simple Preparations

1. Fruit juice ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) 14 to 28 ml. and juice of rhizome of Haridra (turmeric) 14 to 28 ml. to be taken thrice a day.

2. Decoction of equal part of Triphala, roots of Daruharidra (barberry), indravarui (colocynth) and Mustaka (motha) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 3 to 6 g. powdered rhizome of Haridra (turmeric) twice a day.

3. Decoction of equal part of barks of Lodhra and Kaphala (boxmyrtle), fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan) and root of Mustaka (motha) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 3 to 6 g. powdered rhizome of Haridra (turmeric) twice a day.

4. Decoction of equal part of leaves of Paola (a variety of small cucumber snake gourd) and Nimba (neem), fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) and stem of Guuci 14 to 28 ml., to be taken thrice a day.

5. Decoction of equal part of roots of Majisha (madder), Salmali (indian silk cotton tree), KuSa, KaSa (sacred grass), and Danti (wild croton) and whole plant of Durva (doob grass) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken thrice a day.

6. Decoction of equal part of wood of Devadaru (deodar), roots of Daruharidra (barberry) and Mustaka (motha) and fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken thrice a day.

7. Decoction of equal part of barks of Sveta Khadira (white acacia) and Rakta Khadira (khair) and nut of Puga (areca) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken thrice a day.

8. Powder of stem of Sariva (indian sarsaparilla) 1 part, Tejapatra (tamala leaf) 1 part and root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza) 1 part, to be taken in 1 g. dose with 50 to 100 ml. water twice a day.

Specific for iksumeha

1. Decoction of Jayanti 14 to 28 ml. to be taken twice a day.
