Dyspnoea - Dama

Symptoms
in this condition the patient passes frequently small quantity of urine with difficulty, pain and burning sensation. The urine may also contain blood.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Fruit juice (Svarasa) of Kaakari (yellow berried nightshade) - 14 to 28 ml. to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey thrice a day.

2. Powder of equal part of fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) and Gua (jaggery) - 6 g. to be taken thrice a day.

3. Hot milk - 150 ml. to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara thrice a day.

4. Decoction of fruit of Goksuru - 14 to 28 ml. to be taken thrice a day.

Simple Preparations

1. Equal part of Sarkara (raw sugar) and Yavaksara to be taken in 2 g. dose with 50 ml. water thrice a day.

1. Powdered fruit of Goksura (smaller caltrops) - 3 to 6 g. to be taken with 1 g. Yavaksara and 50 ml. water thrice a day.

2. Decoction of equal part of Tra Pacamula - 14 to 28 ml. to be taken thrice a day.

3. Decoction of equal part of fruits of Goksuru (small caltrops) and Dhanyaka (coriander) - 14 to 28 ml. to be taken thrice a day.

4. Ksira Paka of stem of Guuci, Suhi (dried ginger), fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) and fruit of Goksuru (small caltrops) 250 ml. to be taken twice a day.

5. Make Kalka of equal part of fruit rind of Haritaki (chebulic myrobalan), stem of Daruharidra (barberry), root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza). its 12 to 24 g. to be taken with Taulodaka (rice washing) -100 to 250 ml. thrice a day.

6. Make powder of seed of Ela (lesser cardamom) - 1 part, rhizome of Pasabheda (saxifrage) - 1 part, Suddha Silajatu - 1/2/ part, fruit of Pippali (long pepper)- 1/2 part. its 3 to 6 g. to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Taulodaka (rice washing) thrice a day

7. Make fine powder of 12 to 24 g. seed of Karkai (cucumber), bruise in Kaji. it is to be taken with 1 g. Saindhava (rock-salt) thrice a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Eladi Cura: 1 to 2 g. to be taken with honey to make a paste thrice a day.

2. Suddha Silajatu: 500 mg. to 1 g. to be taken with honey to make a past twice a day.

3. TarakeSvara Rasa: 60 to 120 mg. to be taken with honey to make a paste thrice a day.

4. Candraprabha Vai: 1 to 2 Vai to be taken with milk thrice a day.

5. Pravala Bhasma: 60 to 250 mg. to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Taulodaka (rice washing) twice a day.

6. Satavari Ghrta: 12 to 24 g. to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarakara (raw sugar) twice a day.

External Applications

1. Aplly powder of Narasara (ammonium chloride) - 6 g. over the bladder region of the abdomen and cover with wet Saivala (sea or water weed-algae) or cloth.

2. Apply powder of Suryaksara (saltpetre) - 6 g. over the bladder region and cover with wet cloth.

3. Apply powder of Yavaksara-6 g. over bladder and cover with wet cloth.

Pathya

Puraa Sali (old rice), Mudga (phaseolus bean), Yava (barley); Takra (butter milk), curd, ghee, cold water; fruits of KuSmaa (a variety of pumpkin gourd-white gourd),Amalaki (embelic myrobalan), Kharjura (date) and leaf pith of Ghrta-Kumari (aloe) are the useful articles of diet for the patient of Mutra Krccra.

Apathya

Ruksa and Amla Dravya; Lavaa Rasa; leaves of Tambula (betel),Ardraka (ginger), Hingu (asafeotida), leaves of Sarsapa (mustard), Madya (wine), are harmful for the patient of Mutra Krccra. Avoid riding and suppression of urge for urination.
