Excessive thirst - Tasa, Pyasa

Symptoms
A nosebleed happens when one of the blood vessels in the lining of the nose bursts. Nosebleeds may be caused by infection, injury, allergic reaction, nose picking or an object being pushed into the nostril. Another name for nosebleed is epistaxis. Bleeding from the nose is common in children and is usually not serious.


Treatment
External Applications

1. Cold pack and stream of cold water on the head and nose bridge.

2. Nasya of juice of Durva (doob grass)

3. Nasya (snuff) of Sphaika Drava.

Pathya

Sita Dravya, Puraa Sali (old red variety of rice), cold water are useful for the patient of epistaxis (Nasagata Raktapitta).

Apathya

Amla, Lavaa, Tiksa, Ksara and Usa Dravya are harmful for the patient of Nasagata Raktapitta (epistaxis).
