Haematuria - Khuna Ki PeSab, PeSaba Men KhunaAna

Symptoms
Acute pain in the chest, cough with expectoration having tinge of blood, fever, gradual loss of vitality, strength, complexion, appetite and digestive power, emaciation and loose motions are the main signs and symptoms of Ura-Ksata. Sometimes the patient may pass large quantity of bright red blood with a bout of cough and in the case a specialist should immediately be consulted.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Svarasa (juice) of fresh leaf of Vasa 7 to 14 ml. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey twice a day.

2. Powder of Suddha Laksa (purified lac) 1 g. is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. honey or 100 to 250 ml milk or 14 ml. Madya (wine), twice a day.

3. Powdered leaf of Vasa-1 to 3 gm is to be taken with 4 to 6 g. money, twice a day

Simple Preparations

1. Flour of Yava (barley) 100 g. and ghee 100 g. boiled in 250 ml. milk is to be taken twice a day.

2. Saktu of Yava 100g., Sarkara (raw sugar) 50g. and honey- 50 g. is to be taken with 250ml. milk, twice a day.

3. Powders of equal part of roots of Bala (country mallow), ASvagandha (winter cherry), Satavari (wild asparagus) and Punarnava (pigweed) and fruit of Gambhari 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk twice a day.

4. Powder of equal part of flower of Madhuka (madhuca), root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza) and Draksa (raisin) mixed with the double quantity of powder of Suddha Laksa (purified lac), fruit of KarkaaSrngi (crabs claw), root of Satavari (wild asparagus), and VanSalocana (bamboo manna) is to be taken with 3 6 g. dose with 4 to 6 g. honey twice a day.

5. Dugdha (milk) Siddha with 12 to 24 g. powder of equal part of KaSa, Kamala KeSara (lotus stamen) and Rakta Candana (red sandalwood) is to be taken with 4 to 6 gm. honey twice a day.

6. Take powdered root of Punarnava (pig-weed) 1 to 3 g. and Taula 24 g. boil it in the juice of Draksa (grapes) and 100 to 200 ml of milk. it is to be taken twice a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Sitopaladi cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with honey twice a day.

2. Eladi Vai: 1 Vai is to be sucked 4 to 6 times a day.

3. Draksasava: 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken twice a day after adding equal quantity of water after meal.

4. Kusmaavaleha: 12 to 24 g. is to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk twice a day.

5. Vasavaleha: 12 to 24 g. is to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk twice a day.

6. Draksarisa: 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken twice a day with equal quantity of water, after meal.

7. Treatment prescribed for Rajayaksma may also be given to the patient of Ura-ksata.

Pathya

Godhuma (Wheat), Mudga (phaseoles bean), Sali variety of rice, Yava (barley seeds), goats milk, cows milk, ghee; meat soup prepared from the meat of goat or deer; Draksa (raisin or grape) and fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalen) are the useful articles of diet for the patients of Kasa and Ura-Ksata.

Apathya

Fruits of Bilva (bael), Vartaki (brinjal), Karavellaka (bitter gourd), Rajika (red mustard) food prepared in oil are harmful for the patient of Kasa and Ura-Ksata. Sexual intercourse, day sleep and anger should also be avoided.
