Leucorrhoea - Pradara

Symptoms
Loss of appetite, difficulty in passing stool, urine and flatus, rumbling noise in the intestine, distension of abdomen and excessive eructations are the general signs and symptoms of Gulma.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Fruit juice of Draksa (grape fruit) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Gua (jaggery) thrice a day.

2. Svarasa (juice) of bulb of Rasona (garlic) 6 ml. is to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey thrice a day.

3. Bulb of Rasona (garlic) 5 to 10 g. prepared in milk by Ksira Paka method is to be taken twice a day.

4. Soup of seed of Kulattha (dolichos bean) 50 to 100 ml. is to be taken thrice a day.

5. Raja of fruit of Kampillaka (kamala dust) 1 g. is to be taken with honey thrice a day.

6. Eraa Taila (castor oil) 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken as such or with 14 to 28 ml. Maa or with Nira or with 1 to 2 g. Sajjiksara once a day.

Simple Preparations

1. Brhat Pacamula Kvatha: 14 to 28 ml. is to be taken thrice a day.

2. Mix powder of Suhi (dried ginger) 2 g., decorticated Krsa Tila (black seasame) 8 g. and Gua (jaggery) 4 g. with 250 ml. warm milk. it is to be taken twice a day.

3. Take equal part of juices of Bijapura (lemon) and fruit of Daima (pomegranate) 14 to 28 ml. and add to it 1 g. each of Saindhava (rock salt), Krsa Lavaa and Ghrta Bhrsa Hingu. it is to be taken twice a day.

4. Mix the powder of Yavani 1 to 3 g. and Via Lavaa 1 to 2 g. in 250 ml. of Takra (butter milk). it is to be taken two times a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Vijaya Cura: 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with 50 ml. warm water thrice a day.

2. Draksa Ghrta: 6 to 12 g. is to be taken with 50 ml. warm water twice a day.

3. Yavaksara: 1 to 2 g. is to be taken as such or with 14 to 28 ml. Eraa Taila (castor Oil) or 14 to 28 ml. Tila Taila (sesame oil) thrice a day.

4. Kankayana Vai: 2 to 4 Vai, to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. warm water thrice a day.

5. Rasonadi Vai: 2 to 4 Vai, to be taken with 50 ml. warm water thrice a day.

6. Sukumara Ghrta: 12 to 48 g. is to be taken one hour before food or at bed time once a day.

7. Ksira-Sapala Ghrta: 12 to 24 g. is to be taken with 50 ml. warm water thrice a day.

8. indukanta Ghrta: 12 to 24 g. is to be taken with 50 ml. warm water and 300 to 600 mg. Yavaksara, thrice a day.

Pathya

Sali (red variety of rice), Kulattha (dolichos bean); milk of cow and goat; leaf of Vastuka (a variety of chenopodium-white goosefoot), Draksa (raisin or grape fruit), fruit rind ofAmalaki, fruit of Kharjura (date) and Parusaka (Asiatic grewia), bulb of Rasona (garlic) are the useful articles of diet for the patient of Gulma.

Apathya

Madhura Rasa Dravya, Masa (black phaseolus bean), Saka (vegetables), potato, Suska Masa (dried meat), Matsya (fish) are harmful for the patient of Gulma.
