Napkin rash - Cuna Lagana, Lali Padana

Symptoms
Loss of memory, forgetfulness, dull intellect, lack of confidence, indecisiveness, inability to undertake sexual intercourse to the satisfaction or incapacity to fecundate the female, flaccidness, oedema, eruptions, enlargement of prepuces, burning sensation of the male organ are the signs and symptoms of Dhatu-Ksaya.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. 15 leaves of Brahmi (indian penny-wort), to be taken three times a day.

2. Svarasa (juice) obtained from the fresh leaf of Udumbara (gular-fig) 7 to 14 ml., to be taken twice a day.

Simple Preparations

1. Powdered Vidari kanda 3 to 6 g., to be taken with ghee followed by a draught of 100 to 250 ml. milk twice a day.

2. Equal part of powdered root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza), Goghrta (cows ghee) and honey is to be taken in 12 to 24 g. dose three times a day with 100 to 250 ml. cows milk.

3. Equal part of Svarasa (juice) of root of Satamuli (wild asparagus) and leaf of Brahmi (indian penny wort) 7 to 14 ml. is to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Dugdha (fresh milk) twice a day.

4. Powder of equal part of decorticated seed of Kapikacchu (cowage), Kakoli and Ksirakakoli, rsbhaka and roots of ASvagandha (winter cherry) and Satavari (wild asparagus) 3 to 6 g. is to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk and 25 to 50 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) twice a day.

5. Powder of equal part of roots of Salmali (silk cotton tree) and Musali 3 to 6 g. to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) and 5 to 10 g. Ghrta (ghee) three times a day.

6. Powder of equal part of Kokilaksa and Sarkara (raw sugar) is to be taken in 3 to 6 g. dose followed by a glass of Dharosa Dugdha (freshly milched milk of cow) twice a day.

7. Mix fine powder of equal part of seeds of Masa (black phaseolus bean), Kapikacchu (cowage), Godhuma (wheat) and sasi (a variety of rice), tuber of Vidari (giant potato), Kokilaksa and Goksura with cows milk and prepare a liquid dough. its 100 to 250 g. is to be taken with milk twice a day.

8. Take root of Salmali (indian silk cotton tree) 4 parts, root of Satavari (wild asparagus) 3 parts, root of Sai (zedoary) 2 parts, VaSalocana (bamboo manna)-1/2 part and make the powder. its 3 to 6 g. is to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey and Sarkara (raw sugar) three times a day.

9. Give seven Bhavana of Svarasa (juice) of fruit ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) to the powdered fruit rind ofAmalaki and take its 3 to 6 g. with 100 to 250 ml. milk and 25 to 50 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) twice a day.

10. Yavagu of Masa (black phaseolus bean) 250 g. is to be taken with Ghrta (ghee) 12 g. followed by a draught of 250 ml. milk.

11. Decoction of fruit of Goksura 14 to 28 ml. or its Svarasa (juice) 7 to 14 ml. is to be taken with 50 to 100 ml. cows milk twice a day.

12. Make decoction of equal part of fruit of Goksura (small caltrops) and tuber of Vidari (giant potato) and add four times of its weight of Godugha (cows milk) and 1/8th part of decorticated Masa (black phaseolus bean) and sasi (a variety of rice) and boil. When ready after Ksira Paka add 1/8th Goghrta (cows ghee). its 100 to 250 ml. is to be taken twice a day.

13. Prepare Ksira-Paka of decorticated seed of Masa (black phaseolus bean) and seed of Kapikachhu (cowage) and on cooling add Ghrta (ghee) and Sarkara (raw sugar) to taste. its 100 to 250 ml. is to be taken with powdered fruit of Pippali (long pepper) 1 g. twice a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Makaradhvaja Vai: 1 to 2 Vai, to be taken with honey to make a paste twice a day.

2. Silajitvadi Vai: 1 to 2 Vai to be taken with honey to make a paste three times a day.

3. Makaramusi Yoga: 60 to 120 mg., to be taken with honey and Sarkara (raw sugar) to make a paste twice a day.

4. Smrtisagara Rasa: 60 to 250 mg., to be taken with honey to make a paste three times a day.

5. Puracandra Rasa: 1 to 2 Vai, to be taken with honey to makes a paste three times a day.

6. AmrtapraSavaleha: 12 to 24 g., to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. milk three times a day.

7. ASvagandha Ghrta: 12 to 24 g., to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Dugdha (milk) three times a day.

8. Brahmi Ghrta: 12 to 24 g., to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Dugda (milk) three times a day.

9. Brhat Chagladi Ghrta: 12 to 24 g., to be taken with 100 to 250 ml. Dugdha (milk) three times a day.

10. Mrtasajivani Sura: 7 to 14 ml., to be taken twice a day with equal quantity of water after meal.

Special meat Preparations

1. Hens egg fried in Ghrta (ghee).

2. Swans egg fried in Ghrta (ghee).

3. Chicken soup.

4. Fried fresh Rohu fish in Ghrta (ghee)

5. Fried Rohu fish in Ghrta (ghee) and mixed with mutton soup and Svarasa (juice) of fruit ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) or fruit juice of Daima (pomegranate).

6. Boil 25 g. of goats testis in 250 ml. milk and 1 litre of water, reduce to 250 ml., cool and take with 3 to 6 g. powdered seed of Tila (sesame) three times a day.

External Applications

External application for male organ

1.Srigopala Taila: it is to be applied on the penis.

Pathya

Sali (a red variety of rice), Godhuma (wheat), seeds of Masura (lentil) and Caaka (gram); milk, butter, meat of deer, chicken, rabbit and goat; Draksa (raisin or grape fruit), fruits of Kharjura (date),Amra (mango) and Daima (pomegranate) are the useful articles for the patient of Dhatuksaya.

Apathya

Chillies and sour food are harmful for the patient of Dhatu-Ksaya. Frequent sexual intercourse should be avoided.
