Erythema - Cuna Lagana, Lali Padana

Symptoms
1. Vataja Trsa: its symptoms include dryness of the mouth, pricking pain in the temples and head, loss of thirst increases with cold water.

2. Pittaja Trsa: in this type of Trsa, the patient have the symptoms like loss ot appetite, bitter taste in the mouth, burning sensation, redness of the eyes, feeling of dryness in the whole body, liking for cold things and fainting.

3. Kaphaja Trsa: Excessive sleep, sweet taste in the mouth and extreme emaciation are the symptoms of Kaphaja Trsa.

4. Ksayaja Trsa: in this disease patient inspite of taking large amount of water does not feel satisfaction. its other important symptom is loss of weight.

5.Amaja Trsa: Pain in the heart region, excessive salivation and uneasiness are the signs and symptoms ofAmaja Trsa.


Treatment
Single Drugs

1. Boiled water reduced to 1/4th should be given for drinking.

2. Dharosa Dugdha (freshly milched milk) 100 to 500 ml., to be taken according to the appetite.

3. Phaa or Sita Kasaya prepared from the fruit of Dhanyaka (coriander) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken three times a day.

4. Fluid obtained from the fruit of Narikela (coconut), to be taken as much as required.

5. Powdered fruit rind ofAmalaki (embelic myrobalan) 2 to 4 g., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

6. Svarasa (juice) of the fresh leaf ofAmra (mango) 7 to 14 ml. or decoction of its dried leaf 14 to 28 ml. to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar), three times a day.

7. Svarasa (juice) of fresh leaf of Jambu (jamun) 7 to 14 ml. or decoction of its dried leaf 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) three times a day.

8. Svarasa (juice) of fresh bark of Pipala 7 to 14 ml. or decoction of its dried leaf 14 to 28 ml., to be taken three times a day.

9. Svarasa (juice) of fresh Guuci 7 to 14 ml. or decoction of its dried stem 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. Sarkara (raw sugar) three times a day.

10. Svarasa (juice) of fresh leaf of Udumbara (gular-fig) 7 14 ml. of decoction of its dried leaf 14 to 28 ml., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. of Sarkara (raw sugar) three times a day.

Simple Preparations

1. Use of Siddha Jala prepared with roots of Mustaka (motha) and USira (khas), whole plant of Parpaa (five leaved fumitory), wood of Rakta-Candana (red sandal), Suhi (dried ginger), Suhi (dried ginger) and rhizome of Balaka (valerian).

2. Powder of equal part of Vaankura (banyan shoots), Daima (pomegranate fruit), Tvak-Dalacini (cinnamon bark), bark of Lodhra and root of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza) 1 to 3 g. is to be taken with Taulodaka (rice washing) 14 to 28 ml. three times a day.

3. Take equal part of fruit of Dhanyaka (coriander), Suhi (dried ginger) and Draksa (raisin), make a Poalika, keep it in water and boil. Cooled liquid thus obtained is to be taken in 14 to 28 ml. dose thrice a day.

4. Decoction of equal part of fruits of Dhanyaka (coriander) and MiSreya (fennel), roots of Yasimadhu (glycyrrhiza) and USira (khas) and fresh leaf ofAmra (mango) 14 to 28 ml., to be taken three times a day.

5. Make Panaka of equal part of fluid obtained from the fruit of Narikela (coconut) and fruits of Dhanyaka (coricander) and MiSreya (fennel) 100 to 250 ml., to be taken three times a day.

Compound Preparations

1. Jambira Panaka: 14 to 28 ml., to be taken three times a day.

2. Guuci-Satva: 1 to 2 g., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

3. Suta-Sekhara Rasa: 120 to 360 mg., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

4. Pravala Pisi: 120 to 250 mg., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

5.Amalaki Rasayana: 1 to 3 g., to be taken with 5 to 10 g. honey three times a day.

Pathya

Sali Vilepi (gruel prepared from red variety of rice), Lajamaa, soup of seeds of Caaka (gram), Mudga (phaseolus bean) and Masura (lentil); Godugdha (cows milk), Madhura Takra (butter milk); Siddha Jala prepared from rhizome of Balaka (valerian) and fruit of Dhanyaka (coriander); fluid obtained from the fruit of Narikela (coconut), Sarkara (raw sugar); vegetable prepared from flower of Rambha (banana); fruits of Kharjura (date), Daima (pomegranate),Amalaki (embelic myrobalan), Matulunga (lemon), Karmarda, Jambira (medicinal lemon) and Kusmaa (a variety of pumpkin gourd-white gourd) are the useful articles of diet for the patient of Trsa.

Apathya

Amla, Lavaa, Tikta, Kasaya Rasa and Guru Dravya; Dusia Jala, and Trikau are harmful for the patient of Trsa.
